I have over 20 years' experience as a technical writer and editor, and as a translator from Dutch to English and French to English. See my website, ·
http://www.textabulous.com/, for details, and below for highlights.
On the technical-writing and -editing front, clients have included:
- HCL, for Novartis/Sandoz (one year, to January 2024): one of two Technical Writers/Editors on the last year of a multi-year programme that set up and launched the IT infrastructure for Sandoz as an independent spin-off of Novartis.

Among other things, I edited runbooks and other step-by-step procedures, produced from scratch a Quick Guide to Producing Clear, High-Quality Documentation, drafted and edited internal communications and messaging to member firms, and edited KPMGI’s adaptations of Office365 documentation on Teams, Skype, and Windows Virtual Desktop.

- Public Cloud Platforms, the largest IT department at ABN AMRO Bank (six months through June 2024): As the sole Technical Writer and Editor in the department, I advised teams the reorganisation, streamlining, and quality control of documentation.
I have significant experience as a translator from Dutch to English and from French to English.
In the first pair, I recently translated an Advisory Letter from the Advisory Council on International Affairs (Adviesraad Internationale Vraagstukken), a semi-independent body within the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs: https://www.adviesraadinternationalevraagstukken.nl/documenten/publicaties/2024/10/23/aiv-briefadvies-39-naar-een-nieuwe-koers-voor-nederland-in-het-israelisch-palestijnse-conflict.
As for the second pair: in March last year, Oxford University Press published _my translation of Les 3 Cours: La justice qui n'allait pas de soi by Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen. It's a major addition to the literature on the work of the three Regional Human Rights Courts, in the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
See my website for links to numerous academic, legal, and other translations I have done in both language pairs.
