Interactive Planet Limited (IPL) was a full-service software, application and interactive
design/development agency. Founded in 1993, IPL has a long history of developing
unique technical and commercial solutions for Internet and Mobile based initiatives. IPL
is based in the United States (was partially funded by Bank of America).
My role at IPL (in London) was split over two years (total time at IPL was over four
years). The first year was dedicated to establishing the subsidiary office in London and
reaching profitability. Primary objectives were accomplished and my responsibilities as
MD were transitioned to another executive. The second year I focused exclusively on
Consulting Programmes. Some of the programmes are as follows:
Vodafone Live! (Executive Programme Manager) – Primary focus was to drive the
initial launch of Vodafone Live! across multiple countries (managing Vizzavi
commercial and technical teams). Specifically, my responsibilities included
management of multiple entities within Vizzavi Europe, Vizzavi countries and
interfacing with the Vodafone Programme Management office in Germany.
Vizzavi Europe (Head of the Technical Programme Management Office) – Took the
lead as the interim manager of the TPMO for Vizzavi Europe. Primary responsibility
was the management of the team during the development and release of two
pioneering web/mobile portals (Germany and Italy).
REVERB (REVERB an Internet-based MP3 music distribution system) – Co-developed
the first round business plan, identified partners in the US and Europe.
GLUE (GLUE is a unique content management system enhancer for Web and Mobile)
– Worked with the CEO to define product pricing model and sales material.
