I am skilled in many areas. I became skilled in writing while writing seemingly endless essays and research papers in college. There, I learned APA style and the importance of spell check and Grammarly, as well as the fact that they can both be wrong. I have worked in many fields. Working in Fire Rescue and EMS gave me a deep understanding of many areas that most writers are unable to comprehend. Working as a high school science teacher prepared me for many challenges including time management and working around problems that seemingly come out of nowhere. My outdoor hobbies like learning wilderness survival, practicing and teaching it along with hiking, kayaking, fishing and hunting have given me insight into the rewards of being patient and methodical when undertaking a task. I am a detail oriented and well rounded.problem solver and self starter. Unlike many others, I know the difference between there, their, and they're. My pet peeve is the improper use of the words problem and issue as if they have the same meaning.
