About

I'm an editor and writer with more than eight years of experience. Since graduating college, I've worked as a freelance journalist, content manager, web editor and content marketing writer and editor. Both AP and Chicago styles are my bread and butter, but I've also easily transitioned to house styles. Whether the topic is bridge construction, home decor or anything in between, I've probably written about it or edited articles on it.

My work ethic is strong, and organizational qualities are important to me. Working for various news and content publications has helped me become passionate about my work output.

Currently I am employed with AECOM, a multinational engineering firm, where I edit marketing copy to better describe projects the company previously completed in order to help potential clients find out if a partnership is the right fit. Working remotely on a team of remote employees allowed me not only high levels of productivity, but the ability to work with a diverse group of knowledgeable people from all over the United States.

Before my time with AECOM, I was employed at Skyword as an Associate Editor, where I edited articles for a number of clients covering a wide range of industries. The clients' high quality expectations and our strict deadlines further strengthened my editing attributes and ability to work independently. I also managed and acted as the main contact for dozens of freelance writers. Not only was I responsible for editing their work, but I also acted as the first contact for content questions and concerns.

Previous to my time at Skyword, I was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Portal Content Analyst for Mass.gov, the main information hub for the Commonwealth. While there, I wrote and edited blog posts that helped residents learn about and locate government services and programs. Additionally, I was the main fact-checker for all blog posts, and took part in the Twitter log-editing process as well as the mentoring of writers and interns.

I believe my work demonstrates how I can easily transition into new roles. I have a knack for creativity and I consider my work to be a credit to my constant quest to be as complete an editor as possible. I would be more than happy to take any editing tests required of me.
