I have worked in the BPO industry for more than 5 years. I worked for Telstra, Australia's biggest Telco for 5 years as a technical support representative. My main job was to help customers with their technical concerns.
I really enjoyed working with Telstra. I've gained a lot of skills while working with them. It was both challenging and fun. The people there were nice too. You'll always feel supported. It was almost like we were working as a family. They taught me how to be patient and how to be firm with my decisions. And because the company is constantly changing, I learned how to adapt well to new processes and encourage myself to work hard to reach my goals.
I am also an English tutor. I teach Japanese students conversational English. It's also fun because I also learn new stuff while teaching. Not just about Japan but about the English language as well. The company makes sure that we were provided with enough materials for us to use so it was fairly easy for us to introduce it to students.
