I have a bachelor's degree in law and a license to practice law in Nigeria. I practiced for a few years and decided to complete an LLM degree in International Commercial law and practice in the United Kingdom. Some of the legal skills acquired include contract negotiation and contract review.

I also have worked as a Compliance Officer at the head office of one of Africa's global banks. I worked there for a few years and became exposed to transaction monitoring software like Actimize. I also helped to manage a database for investigations, keep up to date with policies, prepare monthly newsletters, manage a helpdesk , train staff etc .

As a compliance officer I developed a keen interest in the human resources field as I worked closely with the HR department at the bank. I decided to pursue this new found passion in the United States and bagged a degree in human resources development. I completed two internships. One was focused solely on recruitment, on boarding and training and the other was on organization development. I helped a non profit organization prepare for a major change.
