---Personal Statement
I am a passionate English educator with over 15 years of international experience, specialising in IGCSE, IB
DP, and AP English curricula. Holding a Master’s in International Education, a PGCE, and a QTS from the
University of Sunderland, I combine academic expertise with dynamic, research-informed practice. I have
successfully led English departments, developed curricula, mentored staff, and championed digital innovation
as a Google Certified Educator. My leadership is rooted in evidence-based strategies, inclusive pedagogy, and
a commitment to fostering student achievement and professional growth. I have taught across diverse systems,
including CAIE, Edexcel, Oxford AQA, and the IB, consistently raising attainment and promoting intellectual
curiosity. With strong skills in academic writing, EAP instruction, and pastoral care, I adopt a holistic
approach to teaching and learning, underpinned by a belief in high expectations, creativity, and continuous
improvement.
