Chris Brush Nashville WordPress Developer with Cumulative 15 yrs Dev/PHP/MySQL/JavaScript/CSS/HTML Experience Nashville TN United States SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS I am a web developer with over 15 years experience. For the better part of the last decade, I have focused on backend HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript responsive development for the WordPress platform. I have specialized in helping to create custom WordPress solutions for clients that include original plugin development, CRM integration, eCommerce integration, and hosting management. I have worked over the last 15 years as a freelancer and remote employee and have demonstrated a consistent ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines. WORK EXPERIENCE Web Developer | Andy Andrews Consulting | Remote | From Jan 2018 to present Responsible for all web maintenance and backend development in regards to the personal online properties for best-selling author Andy Andrews. This includes AWS hosting maintenance, Cloudflare DNS routing, and development and customization of several WordPress-based sites that vary from simple informational sites to properties incorporating both traditional and subscription eCommerce (WooCommerce and WishList Member), CRM platforms (InfusionSoft), Marketing Tie-Ins like Thrive Leads and LeadPages, as well as podcasts and blogs. Andy's Sites: - andyandrews.com - Author's personal site. Built from design comps on Bootstrap framework as custom WordPress theme. Includes integrations with WooCommerce (and many customized templates and plugins), ShipStation (store shipping), Infusionsoft (CRM), LeadPages (marketing and sales). A lot of custom coding had to be done to shape the WordPress environment to the needs of the business. - The Guided Traveler Experience (guidedtraveler.com), 100 Year Parenting (100yearparenting.com), Inspired Living Project (inspiredlivingproject.com) - Membership style WordPress sites designed to offer video content in lesson format to paying subscribers. Built using a custom theme and options panel for WordPress that was designed to be used internally to quickly replicate membership site models. Web Developer | First Image Management | Franklin, TN/Remote | From Jan 2013 to Jan 2018 First Image was a management company representing best-selling inspirational authors. Responsible for all maintenance and backend development for all First Image client web properties. This includes hosting maintenance, Cloudflare DNS routing, SEO, and a host of WordPress technologies that incorporate both traditional and subscription eCommerce (WooCommerce and WishList Member), CRM platforms (InfusionSoft), Marketing Tie-Ins like Thrive Leads and LeadPages, Chat Forums (BBPress, Vanilla), Instructional Courses (WishList Member), podcasts, and blogs. Notable Projects: - andyandrews.com & jerryjenkins.com - Personal websites for authors Andy Andrews and Jerry Jenkins. Built according to design comps on Bootstrap framework as custom WordPress ground-up themes. Integrated with LeadPages for marketing pushes and A/B sales pages. - The Jerry Jenkins Writers Guild (jerrysguild.com) & Unshakeable Entrepreneur (no longer in service) - Membership based sites featuring community-style learning from author personalities. Built from designs on Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Less, jQuery as WordPress Themes. Included Membership tie-ins, PayPal and Stripe integration, InfusionSoft CRM integration, LeadPages, BBPress &/or Vanilla forum integration. - Your Novel Blueprint (novelblueprintcourse.com) - Subscription-based learning course. Built from design comps with Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, jQuery as a WordPress theme. Used the Memberium system. Required coding of custom plugins that kept track of user progress through lessons and reported progress to Google Analytics through tags in order to direct feedback and marketing efforts. Web Developer | Freelance | Remote | From Sep 2000 to Jan 2013 Worked as a remote developer for a number of clients handling all aspects of web development from design to backend development to hosting. Early on, this took the form of creating PhotoShop comps and turning the design into HTML and CSS. During the latter years, this became procuring and customizing WordPress themes (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and developing additional backend plugins and functionality to accommodate clients' needs. Notable Projects: - Magellan Pool Services - browser-based backend scheduling and billing system developed for a Dallas, Texas Pool Cleaning service. Built from scratch using MYSQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The application allowed managers to assign calls to techs, for techs to record their findings and log their work, to bill the customer with an appropriate detail of services rendered, and to record the tech's hours for use in payday math. - Don Moore Auto - A large dealership family stretched across five physical properties in Kentucky that wanted a back-end, browser-based scheduling system for customers to use in scheduling oil and maintenance appointments. My solution was built from scratch with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and some custom Apache cron scripts. The system was rather complex in that different locations had different operating hours, available workers, and open bays. The system had to keep track of scheduling, changes, cancellations, and be able to "lock" out a time slot based on the first person to access it and communicate asynchronously with the server to ensure against double bookings. What's more, clients had to have a different front end with fewer details than what the techs were able to see. - Limestone Networks - Built the initial website and beginning customer service system for Limestone Networks, a cloud-hosting company startup in Dallas, Texas. I was part of a development team and we had to communicate well in order to get anything off the ground. The business has grown exponentially.
