Work Experience Product Engineer Paradime Labs UK(Remote) Frontend team ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Paradime Labs is building the ‘operating system’ for the modern data analytics stack. Paradime is used by companies like brilliant.org and zego.com and supports integrations with other data tools. Supported feature development and fixed bugs on the frontend monorepo and other package repos mostly using TypeScript, React, StorybookJS, CSS and Apollo GraphQL amongst others. Worked in occasional time-boxed work periods with hard deadlines called ‘war-rooms’ to deliver features promised to prospective customer organizations, which led to successful signups. Introduced route-based code-splitting to the codebase to reduce initial bundle size which improved initial load times by over 50% Implemented features and fixed bugs on our VSCode-like cloud IDE called ‘Paradime Editor’ built for data analysts Collaborated with designers to work on Pragma - our design system and component library using Figma, StorybookJS and Chromatic. Participated in code reviews on PRs to the frontend repositories raised by other engineers Updated internal Notion docs and created an onboarding guide for new frontend engineers joining the team. I started as an employee but currently consult and freelance when there is an interesting project. Singlehandedly built the website and CMS for numerous client projects which saw an increase in their SEO, traffic and conversions using React, Gatsby, NextJS, Sanity, and StrapiJS, amongst others. Implemented UI fixes, added new features, optimized website load times, usability and relevant performance and SEO metrics for various new and existing client projects. Advise on best practices for SEO, performance, infrastructure and other technical concerns for client projects. Took ownership of client projects and communicated with the client’s representatives to understand their needs.
