PROBLEM STATEMENT Visually impaired individuals in Nigeria face high unemployment due to societal bias, inaccessible opportunities, and limited support, which can be addressed through AIdriven job-matching, assistive technologies, tailored training, and inclusive policies to foster equal employment opportunities. WHY IT MATTERS This problem matters because unemployment among visually impaired individuals limits their financial independence, social inclusion, and overall quality of life. USER PERSONA Aisha Adebayo Age: 30 Gender: Female Occupation: Elementary School Teacher (English and Literature) Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Urban setting) Visual Impairment: Diagnosed with progressive glaucoma at age 25, leading to significant visual impairment. She wants to be seen for her abilities not disabilities! VISUALLY IMPAIRED DATA DATA SET 1: Education This data set comes from respondents in the northern region of Nigeria. Western education DATA SET 2: Occupation The second data set discusses the occupations that individuals with visual impairment (VI) can currently pursue due to societal challenges. These include:.
