My previous jobs are somewhat related to each other. In my first work, I handled the foreign and local transactions of the company. Mainly, importation. I was the one preparing for LC application being sent to the bank. I monitored every shipment & did follow ups in the bank for the arrival of the original documents. Then I coordinated with the broker if the cargo arrived already. As soon as the documents arrived, I was the one responsible for the TR booking of the LC. In addition to that, I handled the monthly interest payments of the company until the LC is fully paid.
My second job was in China bank, I was the one processing the original import documents. I input certain entries into the system and the computer will generate by itself. Then I monitor the balances of the LCs by recording all the movements of the LC from the date it was opened until it was negotiated and closed already. Also, I did the cancellation of unutilized LC and the refund of unused Cash LC.
My third work was in East West Bank, I was a marketing associate. I handled corporate loans there. Basically, I assisted clients in their requests regarding their loans. Monthly, I prepared statement of accounts so that clients would know in advance the interest and due payments. I also checked the account balances of our clients ensuring that they have enough balance for their payments. I coordinated with different departments as I process their documents. Also, I organized the documents needed for the credit line approval.
I had to resign from my work because my brother asked me to help him manage his enterprise. He had a laundry shop and a water station. It was challenging for me since I was used to a corporate setting. There, I was in-charge. I had a bigger responsibility. We talked about it, and agreed that I will only set up a system that’s more efficient and reliable, then I can go back to work.
In the year 2013, I started to work again. I was hired as a relationship associate in Metropolitan Bank. The task I had there was the same task I did in East West Banking Corporation. I handled client's loan availments and payments, and prepare documents for credit approvals. I stayed there for a year. I left because of the heavy work load. I was usually in the office at 7AM, then I was going home at 7PM or later. The load is too much for 1 person to carry, so I decided to leave so that I can have a balance lifestyle.
It was my plan to have a 1-year trial of home-based work to check if it fits me, so I took different types of home-based jobs in order for me to gain more experience and get the hang of it. And right now, I feel that I am really satisfied working at home. Having a home-based work gave me experiences on Social Media Management, Database Management, Reports, Documentation, Data Entry, and many more.
