Personal
I am described by others as an outgoing person, who is adaptable and always willing to learn. I have a particular passion for communication and I make sure I keep my finger on the pulse, regularly updating my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and using these platforms to connect with individuals and companies. In addition, I keep up to date with online and printed content, especially food and drink related articles multiple times a week. I am always on the lookout for new recipes to try and to share with friends and family. I often find myself ‘selling’ and ‘marketing’ products and ideas to people without realizing due to my unstoppable passion for quality cuisine.
During my time at university, I showed my dedication and versatility in numerous ways: from writing for and editing my college newspaper, to managing volunteering projects and securing funding. In terms of paid work, I have wide-ranging experience in the fine dining sector; from starting off working in restaurants when I was 16 to writing articles about gastronomy for Country Living magazine. My spare time is dedicated to good food and searching for the best quality ingredients from the most natural sources. Living in Italy has allowed me to develop a greater and closer relationship with food and wine and be able to share this knowledge with others.
My working life relies heavily on great problem-solving skills when dealing with clients from different cultural backgrounds. I like to work using frameworks that I can tailor to the individual needs of each client. I am naturally able to learn quickly and adapt to the role using intercultural communication, as shown most recently by being granted the Cultural Intelligence for Leadership Award.
