I am a highly motivated individual with the ability to focus on tasks at hand until completion. I recently
completed my Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Cape Town where I was able to
develop both a theoretical and practical knowledge of Psychological concepts. Prior to this, I
completed a BScSoc degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
Academic Achievement
•-: University of Cape Town - Honours Degree in Psychology (equivalent to
Postgraduate degree for United Kingdom standards (Results: Upper Second division (71 %)).
- Dissertation on: The mediating effect of Working Memory on the relationship between Acute
Psychosocial Stress and Prospective Memory. Dissertation eligible for publication.
- Subjected 64 participants, divided in 4 groups, to acute psychosocial stress and performed
various Prospective/Working Memory tests to determine the effect of stress on Prospective
memory and the mediating effect of Working memory.
- My focus is on Stress and Memory, for which I developed extensive experience in delivering
neuropsychological tests (N-back task, Prospective memory tasks, STAI State/Trait tests, Beck
Depression Index test and the Fear Factor Stress Test)
