Carlos Hernández

I'm an economist and a self-taught web developer. I started out with Python learning the basic of programming before I got into JavaScript and eventually into Flutter.

Before that, I was doing pixel art and designing the UX/UI of a 2D action side-scroller in Unity.

I've published an app in Flutter aimed at solving a real (but very Venezuelan) problem. It shows the price of the US against the Venezuelan Bolivar according to several exchange rates, official and unofficial. Doing so, I learned a lot about Firebase, asynchronous programming, classes, state management and software architecture patterns.

I've also published WebApps using React and Redux.

I've made blogs and landing pages complete with CMS support using Gatsby.js. I've also set up servers with Strapi to feed data to a Flutter app.
