I carefully review the artwork, checking that the correct dielines are used, the right images are included, and the layout matches the reference. If no reference is available, I make sure the artwork is built using the appropriate dieline legends, accurate copies, correct codes, icons, mandatory elements, color separations, printer specifications, and any other necessary details. In my role as a Production Artist, I’m always ready to help with edits, amendments, or revisions and FA task. Preflight or review and prepare client supplied files for usability. Create artwork based on client instructions, including updating dielines, copy, colors, regulatory information, brand guidelines, printer specifications (bleed, rollover, keylines, font size, minimum dot, and other printer spec requirements), and generating or updating images and codes (like UPC, Datamatrix, QR codes, and non-scannable codes). Assist with tasks related to the Quality Control (QC) team. Provide support for questions and concerns from Production Artists (PAs) and the QC team. Train newly hired artists to ensure they are well-versed in procedures and standards. Reviewed production files to ensure they aligned with client briefs, brand guidelines, and regulatory standards, including food packaging regulations, printer specifications, correct codes and copies, color separations, and other graphic requirements. Provided training to newly hired Quality Control operators, ensuring they understood the necessary procedures. Took on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the shift lead, helping maintain smooth operations. Acted as a point of contact for addressing concerns and resolving issues from both the Production Artists and Quality Control teams.
