Experienced Sr. Systems Engineer looking to add value to the team at my next position. I'm always self training on the side and building lab environments to test new technologies, and build optimized automation/migration plans.

I take pride in everything I do professionally and off the job. I have two autistic boys which my oldest is non-verbal. To help him communicate I spent a summer self training in Android Studio with the end goal being to build him his own custom tailored AAC app where he could use it on any android device.

This led to him later upgrading to a full fledged (paid) application where the educators ar his school were trained to work with. Using these methods he passed all metrics; graduating into jr highschool where he now rides the bus by himself each day.

The drive it took to learn how to build android apps is an example of the work ethic and tenacity that I commonly put forward to make some lasting impact to the people and job to contribute and help others around me grow wherever possible.

I work great in both team and self-managed work settings. In a team scenario, I commonly share knowledge, documentation, and on the other side am open to other routes and resources where I'm not locked into any particular mindset in problem solving. I consider myself moldable like clay and a sponge for information.

I enjoy knowledge sharing sessions over lunch with other departments and am always trying to add skills to my tool belt.

For example, I spent months learning how to work with the software development teams in various positions I've held to assist them with their CI/CD DevOps pipelines, where eventually I was brought in for Dev/Staging/Testing as well as security meetings with various directors of the aforementioned departments.

I feel it's important to be able to contribute across the board and wear many hats behind just what the job description entails because that is the sole basis in which Information Technology is comprised of.
