I am Brieanna Charlebois, a Master of Journalism graduate from Carleton
University. I received advanced standing upon entry to the program as well as
the Robert and Alyce Martin Entrance Scholarship (2016). I wrote my thesis
on deradicalization, for which I won the McWhinney Endowment Award to
conduct research in Denmark. I also have two Bachelor’s Degrees from Ohio
University: Journalism and Strategic Communications through the Scripps
School of Journalism and a bachelor’s of Psychology through Ohio University’s
Arts& Sciences department. Most recently, I worked at the Vernon Morning
Star for Black Press in Okanagan, B.C. and contributed feature stories for the
IDRC and currently freelance and work as an editor at a business magazine while freelancing articles to various organizations.
