Help resident with whatever they need. • Do rounds. I'd come in at 10pm, clock in, and help fellow employees who's shift is over, do rounds. Doing our rounds consisted of going up and down each hall way going into any of the residents rooms who have to wear diapers and are unable to go to the bathroom themselves, & change them and get them cleaned up as soon as figuring out they're wet/ poopy to prevent discomfort for our residents & to prevent any type of rashes or blisters from occurring. (Rounds were at 10pm, 12am, 2am, 4:30am and very last rounds at 6am right before I'd leave and the next round of employees were coming in.) • Laundry whenever given the chance. Wash, dry, sort by which clothes are which residents, after all laundry is done and caught up on, would take all clothes to designated room and hang them on the door until resident awoke the next morning to prevent waking them. End cap Associate Walmart - Timberville, VA April 2017 to November 2017 • Bring loads of groceries on a pallet out onto the floor, and stock until all my boxes were empty & then go back for another pallet full. • Scan products in the back sorting everything to go into it's right place. • Happily, and kindly drop what I'm doing at the time, to help any customers who would need it. Cashier/Stocker Finders Keepers Surplus Outlet - Harrisonburg, VA October 2015 to July 2016 • Ring customers up & bag their groceries. • If no one around to be checked out yet, was to stay busy by straightening up clothes racks and tidying up the dressing room, straighten up anything in the aisles that needed straightened near the registers or putting items in their proper places. • I also worked with my father in the warehouse whenever he needed help & if there was another cashier available up front to hold down the area until I was done. Those tasks included; helping him unload pallets stacked high with stuff to be priced, and taken out to the floor and put in their correct places. I also came into work (when I wasn't scheduled to cashier) and worked a few full days with my dad doing this. • I prefer to actually work until the work day is over. I believe if just sitting or standing around because theres no one to ring up at the time, not only does the day drag on, but you could be doing something/anything that needs to be done in that free time. Also, actually working and staying busy makes the day go by much, much faster! Cleaning Crew Member Shifflett's Cleaning - Harrisonburg, VA December 2012 to August 2015 I used to clean banks every evening with my dad, so I have years of experience in the cleaning field. Banks included (bb&t in grottoes, bb&t in harrisonburg, wells Fargo in harrisonburg, and others. (I'd have to ask my dad what others we cleaned I cant remember all of them) duties included : • Emptying trash bins from every single trash can in the place including everyone's offices. • Vacuum and tidy up bank employees work spaces in each and every one of their offices, rooms, and the banks lobby's, etc. (without moving or messing with their belongings). • Dust and clean surfaces. • Clean the banks glass doors (inside and outside). • Clean all windows (inside and outside). • Clean all bathrooms (in and all around the toilets, all over the sink, sweep the floors, and mop them as well, empty the trash from the bathrooms, & stock each bathroom back up with anything needed like toilet paper, paper towels, air fresheners, etc. Etc. • Get all full trash bags from all of the trash we gathered from all over the bank that evening, and bring it outside with us and dispose of in the dumpster. • Vacuum any door mat (inside and/or outside). • Turn off all lights. • Set all alarms & lock the place back up!
