I am a hard-working recent college graduate (3.7 GPA, BA in English with a Writing Emphasis) from Blue Mountain College. While attending BMC, I was the assistant editor of the school's literary journal as part of my internship. My main responsibilities included proofreading and revising creative and academic works that the editor considered possible candidates for publication. When I was tasked with a certain responsibility, I applied proficient editing and writing skills to ensure the work was error-free. I also worked as the school's yearbook editor. I had to become proficient in using software to design eye-catching pages that reflected the highlights of the school year. I was also in charge of teaching the student staff members how to use the designing software, and I assigned them tasks and deadlines in order to ensure everything was completed efficiently.
Throughout my educational experiences, I have become adept at quickly identifying and correcting both common and uncommon writing errors–including but not limited to–mistakes in sentence structure, style, punctuation, spelling, grammar, and word choice. Furthermore, I worked as a writing consultant for a brief period while studying for my Associates Degree. My main responsibilities involved assisting students in the composition of an academic paper; I helped students choose a topic, formulate an outline, revise the final draft of the paper, and become familiar with the basics of Microsoft Word.
Furthermore, I am very passionate about creative writing, and I have written a few works that were published in Blue Mountain's College's literary journal, "Mountain Breeze." I have always viewed writing as a powerful tool that when wielded correctly can change people's perspectives and assist in their growth as a person. I can help clients banish bothersome errors from their writing projects, transforming a plain, rough draft into an eye-catching and flawless final copy.
