In my full-time role, I'm a senior copywriter for Wiley Education Services, where I get to work with top universities like Johns Hopkins University, Purdue University, and the University of Glasgow. Prior to that, I freelanced exclusively, where I represented top brands like Dell, eBay, and T-Mobile on a wide range of projects.

A lot of companies struggle to find quality freelancers, and I understand how difficult that can be. I've even experienced that first-hand with my employer. They tried to save money by using freelancers instead of hiring another in-house writer. The result was that my company paid the freelancer more than was warranted for low-quality work, and then my coworkers and I had to spend time (and money) fixing it. It took more time and money than it would have taken with an in-house writer (or the elusive, good freelancers). Those content mills aren't the solution. And neither are overpriced freelancers.
