Learned from the ground up, from menu set up and planning, communication with guests as
well as staff, understanding the ingredients and the preparation thereof, front of house and
kitchen manager, watering staff shift scheduling, kitchen staff scheduling. Co ordination of

Initially employed as stock controller and buyer for the branch, duties were as follows:
Checking stock levels daily
Ordering of stock from local suppliers and distributors.
If stock was returned as faulty/damaged I was responsible for ensuring it was sent to the
correct companies for repair.
Was then designated/ promoted to warehouse controller where my duties were:
Maintaining stock which consisted of multiple variations of music and sound equipment
Value of stock varied from a few rands to well over a hundred thousand rands. Over all stock
value would range between R20 to R30 million rands.
perpetual stock takes were performed to aid and ensure in an accurate stock balance
reflected on the system used (syspro), annual stock was thus taken from a variation of over
negative balance of R1 million to negative R1 thousand.
I was then offered to implement new strategies for the failing technical repairs department.
The department had to be restructured, and part thereof I was responsible for the ordering of
stock from both local and international suppliers (Japan, China, U.K America) my
department catered for the southern African region.
