WageWorks - Milwaukee, WI
Oct 2017 - Jan 2020
Software Engineer
- Assisted with the initial migration of a Java application acquired from another company
- Contributed to updating the application with the WageWorks brand.
- Made feature enhancements using Java
- Wrote shell scripts to automate processes.
One Touch Point - Hartland, WI
Oct 2016 - Oct 2017
Programmer
- Fixed bugs in both Java and C# projects.
- fixed reports reports in SSRS, and converted Crystal reports to SSRS
Weyco Group – Glendale, WI
May 2015 - Oct 2016 Java Developer
- Using Java, JPA, javascript, html, jsf and postgresql I helped maintain and support their Ecommerce websites.
- They were trying to move away from the AS400 and RPG since hardly no one there knew how to code in RPG. I
worked with a developer who wrote a lot of their reports using RPG in order to convert the functionality to a more
modern language.
- The Ecommerce sites used Power reviews as well as Google analytics. I fixed many bugs that caused issues with
power reviews, and worked with our marketing team to make changes so that Google analytics would pick up more
information they wanted.
- my biggest accomplishment with Weyco Group was taking the lead on getting another one of their Ecommerce
sites up and Running. Although their sites use the same backend code and a similar template, this site was for
Germany, and I had to integrate German translation functionality, and make Changes to accept payment in Euros
instead of Pounds.
GE Healthcare – Wauwatosa, WI November
2014 – May 2015 Cloud Application Developer
- Using Ruby I updated and created Chef cookbooks and recipes that handled creation of cloud servers.
- A lot of the server creation process was done in Vcenter Orchestrator. I was involved in creating and updating
workflows in JavaScript
- I integrated Bugzilla, an open source bug tracking tool, to track bugs with the servers.
- Their ecommerce application was a java application that I made a few changes to as well, but they had a Sr.
developer who made most of the changes.
University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh – Oshkosh, WI

from a third party vendor, using web services. The profile pages were created in a CMS called Plone. It was still
fairly new when we were using it.

Career Mentor Platform – PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, bootstrap, MySQL
The idea behind this application is to connect people interested in specific career fields with professionals in that
career field. The idea is that the professional could help mentor these individuals, and push them in the right
direction to be successful in that career field. I feel that as a professional, one can provide more information to an
individual that will make them successful in that field, that a college education cannot. Looking at my field, had I
known background in web technologies was going to be a must for so many jobs in my field, I would have studied
up more on those technologies while in school, and done additional studying after school to gain the knowledge
needed. As a professional in the Computer Science field, I would be able to provide technologies to become familiar
with and resources that can help. I could also point them in the direction of good programs or starting positions that
would help them get their foot in the door. This idea came to me after attending a career fair at my high school that I
attend semi-annually now. This is still a work in progress, and the initial application using the above technologies is
here and functional http://careermentor-php.codingbybrandon.com/ , try it out. I have since been redoing it in Java Spring Boot with a react front end. The layout and functionality is much different. .
Local Café website - PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, bootstrap
I did a redesign of a local café’s website. My brother and I met with the owner who I talked to often, and got an idea
of what she wanted. He designed it, and we presented the design to her. Once she approved it, I took it over and
implemented the design which is here http://highlandscafetosa.com/.
