Brandi Medina

I have a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and have worked in the mental health field for nearly 15 years. I have seven years of tele-counseling while working with the Alzheimer’s Association. I am well versed in medical terminology and HIPAA. I have held two remote positions and during my time with both companies I exemplified good time management and self-motivation. Lastly, I recently completed an online contract tracing certification.

Currently I am completing a freelance contract with Fine Coatings Pro Services. My main goals during the project have been to develop and maintain the company’s online presence, organize their record keeping, update budgeting system and promote the business in the community. This is a remote position that will be completed by the end of the month.

As the Director of Community Engagement with The Legacy Center, I was charged with promoting the non-profit both online and in the community. I also planned fundraising, advocacy and educational events for the organization.

My first remote position was a freelance contract with Good Media Inc., a social impact consulting company. I was tasked as the liaison between Good Medina Inc. and their client, Strayer University. Strayer University implemented a scholarship contest in the city of Decatur, AL and had a documentary made of the entire process. My role was to promote the scholarship opportunity to recruit applicants, help design the program to choose 50 recipients, recruit local mentors and be the conduit between both organizations and the chosen students.

As the Director of Programs and Education with the Alzheimer’s Association I became experienced in providing educational presentations, holding annual conferences, training support group facilitators, running our early stage programs, promoting our clinical trial matching program, assisting in the promotion of all fundraising efforts and leading both federal and state advocacy for the state of Alabama. I also served as the counselor for families in the eleven counties we served.
