Full Stack Web Developer Brad Bertsche Rageix LLC-https://github.com/rageix Appleton, WI TLDR; I’m a professional full stack web developer who’s been doing it day in and day out for over 13 years. Been writing code since I was a kid, and I have been interested in computer programming since the days of DOS. I took up web development more than a decade ago seeing it as the future. After a few years of side hustle, I started working professionally in the web development field in 2010. After a year and a half of employment at a new SaaS provider I started my own web development and consulting business, Rageix LLC, in June 2012. Since then, I have mostly worked as an independent contractor. In October of 2018 I started working as an independent contractor for a startup now known as LifestyleCX. In April 2019 I joined the LifestyleCX team as a salaried developer and left the company in May 2023. I do basically everything you could need a web developer to do. I am confident that I can take on basically any web project and complete it to your satisfaction. I look forward to talking to you about your project. Skills • PHP, Python, Go, JavaScript, Typescript • Node.js, Next.js, jQuery, Angular, React, Vue, etc... • React Native • CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, Tailwinds, etc… • MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB • Docker • Git Professional experience Consider this to be my notable projects over the years. All these projects I have spent at least 6 months on or are notable for their publicity. Projects are listed from newest to oldest. LifestyleCX, Inc. Length: ~4.5 years (Oct 2018-May 2023) LifestyleCX is a small startup that started in the senior living vertical. Our first major project was AgingChoices. AgingChoices is a website for people looking for senior living providers. We worked with both trying to match people to senior living options as well as the senior living providers themselves. I started by building the entire application from scratch. The site went through a few iterations as our business model constantly changed, but even today is still meant to help people find senior living providers and focuses also on generating leads for providers. While developing AgingChoices we branched out into building a few marketing tools for senior living providers. As these tools really can work for any business these tools were split out into their own service called Waypoint. These tools are known as Navigator, essentially a website popup like chat box that is customizable, and ProForms a fully configurable survey platform. There are many additional things done over the years including a custom billing system, custom user and group systems, various integrations with 3rd party applications, as well as the systems needed to make it all work. I can easily provide references from this company upon request. Tech: Node.js, SASS, PostgreSQL, React, jQuery, Typescript, Docker, Git, Docker, AWS Stampede Length: on and off 1 year. (Oct-) Stampede is a personal for-profit project. I have spent a bit of time in the internet marketing industry and still do some marketing on the side. I built a self-hosted high-speed link, event tracking, and ad serving platform based on my personal needs. It is meant to compete with other respected platforms in the niche like Prosper 202, Voluum, and others. It has some unique features not found in other platforms including ad serving, a rule-based system, multinode support, and some other stuff. There are many parts to this project including the server, interface, a custom-built licensing server, a WordPress website, a WooCommerce store, and documentation system. Built from the ground up by myself. Project has been terminated. Tech: Go, Gin (Go web framework), SASS, PostgreSQL, React, jQuery, Typescript, Docker, Git Orange Fab Project length: 2 years -) A subset of the Orange Silicon Valley. Orange Fab is a startup accelerator. This basically means they try and find new startups, and offer them things like connections, office space, etc… They have many big corporate partners (think like Visa and Oracle big) that pay to use their platform and get connected to startups. This platform is not open to the public, only startups and partners can access it. I spent 2 years working with their team to develop their internal platforms. They already had a basic platform, but the current developer could not accomplish what they wanted. They brought me in to fix the platform, and then build a brand-new second version from the ground up. The platform was a web application that allowed them to input startups or for the startup themselves to enter all their data. You could then display the startups to their teams and partners. You could do things like leave reviews, ask to be connected with startups. Lots of different features including a tagging system, advanced search, inline presentations, and a permission-based system where we could give users all kinds of fine-grained controls. The platform was also used for pitch days where you can separate out startups and users into groups, days, and sessions, and allow for real-time feedback. During my time there I also helped wherever they needed dev help. I created a HubSpot blog from scratch, worked with their website including writing a cross-site login widget, helped with email marketing, and advised them on all their web work. All dev work was done by me. Tech: Python 2.7, flask, SASS, MongoDB, jQuery, Angular 1, React, Javascript, Typescript, Git Services: AWS (elastic beanstalk, route 53, s3, etc…), Google docs, Mailchimp, Hubspot CoinDirect Project duration: 6 mo. (2014) A cryptocurrency startup that I lead development on. The client wanted to build an easy way for merchants to take Bitcoin. Decent idea but a bit ahead of its time. Like many startups, just never really got off the ground. I worked to create an MVP for the client which we then pitched to a startup accelerator. All dev work was done by me. Tech: Python 2.7, flask, PostgreSQL, Angular 1, Bitcoin, Git PricePlow Project duration: ~1.5 years -) The client was an internet marketer that had an existing fitness blog and website. The goal of the project was to create a complex price comparison engine. My job was to build a platform that would scrape data from many different web stores that the site was affiliated with and to aggregate the results in order to create price comparison tables. There was an entire section dedicated to building and cross-linking products. I then had to build website widgets that a user could use to compare any products we had in the database and take them to the proper store. There was also various work on the blog and website as was needed by the client and anything else web dev related. All dev work was done by me. Tech: PHP, Code Ignitor, Python 2.7, MySQL, jQuery, Git DripFeedBlasts Project duration: ~1.5 years -) An automated link building SaaS. Back in the day, it was easy to get high rankings on Google just building links and this business took that idea and scaled it big. When I started on the project, they already had a very crude MVP built by one of the owners and it was my job to take it to the next level. I built out the idea and added things like users, billing, reporting, an easy-to-use interface, and a for-pay API. There were many unique challenges on this project as at its height it was extremely popular. Having to do things like rate limit requests and troubleshoot very complex multi-server problems. Most of the dev work was done by me with the rare exception of one of the owners stepping in to do minor things. Tech: PHP, MySQL, jQuery
