About

I am a Social Science graduate with a Bachelor of Social Science in Industrial Psychology and over ten years of professional experience in facilitation, counselling, youth development, programme support, and data management within NGO and educational environments. Throughout my career, I have developed strong interpersonal, administrative, and analytical skills, enabling me to effectively support individuals and programmes while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

As a Girls Club Facilitator at Community Media Trust, I facilitated structured training sessions for mentors and youth participants, creating safe and inclusive spaces for engagement and learning. I led discussions on sensitive psychosocial topics, ensuring that participants felt heard, respected, and supported. My role required strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage diverse groups. I also monitored programme implementation, collected and reported data, and referred participants to appropriate support services when necessary. Supporting and guiding mentors strengthened my leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Previously, as a Data Capturer at Community Media Trust, I was responsible for capturing, verifying, and maintaining accurate programme data. I compiled reports, managed spreadsheets using MS Excel, and ensured data integrity to support monitoring and evaluation processes. This role enhanced my attention to detail, time management, and ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

During my internship as a Career Guidance Officer and Student Counsellor at Ingwe TVET College, I provided one-on-one counselling and career guidance to students. I conducted placement assessments, analysed results, delivered academic and wellness workshops, and supported bursary applications. I also maintained student records and ensured administrative compliance. This experience strengthened my counselling skills, report writing ability, and understanding of student support systems.

Across all my roles, I have demonstrated strong facilitation, counselling, data management, communication, and organisational skills. I am fluent in isiXhosa, isiZulu, and English, which enables me to work effectively with diverse communities. I am passionate about youth empowerment, community development, and delivering programmes that create meaningful and measurable impact.
