Berry has work experience in managing learners and
teaching space in high schools and a university, university
department front office management, managing an academy,
adherence counseling including HIV/AIDS activities
providing static and outreach services to the youth in and out
of schools and being an administration Officer at a
Community Based Organization. I hold’s a Bachelor’s degree
in Education and Counselling from Kenya Methodist
University, Monitoring and Evaluation with a certificate from
AMREF International University, NASCOP HTS certificate,
USAID online certificate course on Leadership Management
as well as USAID online certificate course on HIV counseling.

1. Teaching and management of education settings
7 years of experience that include, management in
educational setting and conducting health education

3. Working with youth

comprising of 76 chairmen across the sub-county
on how they can be agents of change with the

5. Social mobilization for behavior change and service uptake
Worked with the Awendo boda boda community,
the catholic parish of Awendo and redeem gospel
youth groups and held health talks at a series of
secondary schools namely Oyugi Ogango girls,
Kanga Boys, Michele Obama girls and Manyatta
boys.
I have Distributed 1500 condoms in collaboration
with the Awendo boda boda community, trained
200 individuals on condom use and conducted
health education trainings to 50 youth on a series
of health-related topics such as HIV/AIDS, teen
pregnancy and drug abuse.
6. Administration, coordination and networking
Worked as Academy Manager at the Bridge
International Academy, I was responsible for the
support of teachers, budgeting, and ensuring the
policies were implemented while also researching
on new ideas to improve the students’ performance
and enhance the existing polices.

8. Implementing DREAMS

subsequently assigned to the I Choose Life (ICL) in North
Sakwa Ward DREAMS program, where I was involved on
the Financial Capability Training and Entrepreneurship
Training.. During my six month period I trained 250 girls
and ensured set ups of CHAMAs and helped the young girls
formulate business proposals.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the County and National Government of
Kenya line ministries, Local Advisory Council, civil society
organizations (CSOs), faith based organizations (FBOs),
community based organizations (CBOs) and other NGOs
(both USAID and non-USAID funded) to ensure seamless
and effective implementation of expanded adolescent girl
and young woman (AGYW) HIV prevention interventions
at the ward level.
To work closely with USAID Nuru Ya Mtoto or other USG
funded OVC implementing partners and local CBOs, where
applicable in identifying vulnerable HIV negative AGYW
and co-enroll into DREAMS.
Responsible for engagement of stakeholders to identify and
manage appropriate girls-only safe spaces at the ward level.
Ensuring that the main safe space is equipped and stocked
with UNYM’s DREAMS commodities, it is safe and that it is
branded accordingly;
Ensuring that all staff, mentors, DREAMS Ambassadors and
facilitators working with AGYW read, sign and duly
commit to the Child Protection Policy and the Safe Space
Code of Conduct.
