Protea Hotels opened in Uganda in 2007 just in time for the Common Wealth Head of Government
Meeting(CHOGM) in November 2007. Protea Hotels Uganda operated three properties in Kampala, Entebbe and
Mbale.
My responsibility was to ensure that Protea Hotel’s visual expression is compellingly and cohesively
communicated across different brand touch points as varied as packaging design, out-of-home campaigns,
branded internal comms, and in-restaurant experiences. My duty required bringing Protea’s visual story to life.
In this role, my primary responsibilities included (but were not limited to):
• Supporting all design development and production of digital marketing design, working closely with the
General Manager and Managing Director
• Consistently produce concepts and develop artwork to satisfy marketing and communication objectives
• Effectively manage multiple projects with other members of the team

Worked with Golf100 magazine team to re-design and restructure the magazine putting it at par with
internationally circulated Magazines in terms of aesthetics and layout.
The redesigned magazine gave me an opportunity to work with Uganda Golf Union in producing the Uganda
Open Golf Magazine and the Zone Six regional competition magazine in 2014 and 2015.
