I hold a Doctorate in Music Composition from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. I also have Masters degrees in Music Composition and in Music Theory from Michigan State University. I have taught music theory, aural skills, music composition, counterpoint, and electronic music at pre-college and undergraduate levels. I have also taught a course in musical analysis at the graduate level.
I'm interested in working with students on their specific musical goals, whether that is related to writing/creating music, helping their performance through theoretical understanding, or learning to appreciate different styles of music.
