For the past four months I have been solo travelling across South East Asia, subsiding my travels with
freelance writing. I work remotely for a portfolio of clients across finance, law, construction and tourism.
I have written website landing pages, job advertisements, EDM’s and brand stories for start ups. Notable
projects include a re-write the Visit Jersey website which receives millions of unique visitors each week,
and ongoing social media management for Saudi Business Machines (SBM) who are IBM’s business arm
in Saudi Arabia.

Freelance copywriter for an award winning creative agency in the
sports space, developing national campaigns for blue chip brands Coca Cola, Toyota and Sanitarium.
I crafted TV scripts, retail activations, DM concepts and advertising
campaigns to leverage their brand sponsorship of major Australian
sporting events, including the AFL Grand Final, Big Bash League and
NBA Final.
I devised a high profile nation-wide campaign for Coca Cola, across
digital, retail and ambient media, to engage consumers to ‘taste the
finals feeling’ during the AFL and NRL Grand Finals 2017.
Crafted a TV script for an Australian cricket legend for an awards
presentation at the BBL Final 2017, as part of the ‘King of the Six’

A marketing/PR position at the Radisson Blu Hotel. I managed
multiple social media pages to promote functions, events and to lift
the profile of the hotel brand in general, coordinating with the
Global Sales Office for international campaigns.

Receiving orders direct from major film studios such as Fox,
Lionsgate, Warner Bros and Sony, I issued 'KDM's' or 'Keys' to
decrypt the 'Digital Cinema Packages' that movie features are sent
in. This is sent in an XML file and is of military grade encryption to
protect the copyrighted material.
Working in intensive 12 hour shifts, day and night in a small focussed
team, I was in constant contact with cinemas internationally to
ensure screenings, film premieres and large releases were delivered
on time.
Liaised with cinemas and studios to ensure that the digital server
information for each cinema is updated in a large database..
Revising the up-to-the-minute studio policies to ensure my work was
accurate and to specification.
Working with the mastering team to source the correct versions for
each international release which can be involved as there are
dubbed and subtitled and multiple other different iterations for each
feature.
Improved my attention to detail, my organisation skills and my
understanding of the mechanics of the global entertainment
industry.

New Zealand International Film Festival – Assistant to Manager
This was a two month paid internship working on promotions, public
relations, admin and operations management:

Design work for promotional material using the Adobe Creative
Suite: I compiled artwork, editing and proofreading copy for each
film to create multiple flyers, posters and banners to be sent to
special interest groups and local media.
Identified relevant film screenings for certain demographics and
proactively contacted them via email/telephone to drive ticket sales.
Set-up promotional events in Auckland at launch of the festival,
erecting festival displays, coordinating deliveries of refreshments
and taking photographs of people in attendance for social media.
