PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am currently studying at the University of the Witwatersrand in my second
year of Biomedical Engineering. I excelled throughout my high school career
and I am a top student in my degree thus far. I have participated in multiple
prestigious competitions, which are listed below. I am passionate about
programming, mathematics, design, engineering, writing and learning new
things.
I consider myself an enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable and driven person and I
give my best to everything I do. I hope to one day make a difference in this

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
While I do not have any formal employment, I am a Mathematics tutor for high
school and university students. I also do freelance graphic and logo design examples of my work can be provided on request.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Benoni High School Awards (2016)
I achieved multiple awards throughout my high school career. In my final
year, I was the Dux Learner and top achiever in Mathematics, IT, EGD,
Physical Sciences, AP Mathematics and English Creative Writing.
Ekurhuleni North District Awards (2017)
I placed third overall in my school district (Ekurhuleni North), in addition to
being the top achiever in EGD and IT.
World Scholar’s Cup (2016)
Winner of the Johannesburg Round of the World Scholar's Cup – a
prestigious international competition involving problem solving, debating,
team work and many more challenges relating to a variety of topics. I
also qualified for the global round twice but was unable to participate
due to lack of funding.
CHPC Student Cluster Competition (2018)
I made it past the first round of the CHPC Student Cluster Competition
and I am set to participate in the final round, which will take place in
December 2018.
Dean’s List (2017)
I was on the Dean’s List for my first year of university. It is a list of students
who are recognised academically by the Dean of the School of
Electrical and Information Engineering at Wits.
SA Mathematics Olympiad (2012 – 2016)
I made it to the second round every year in high school and to the third
(final) round in 2013.
