Ayrton Wakfer

My name is Ayrton Wakfer. I’m a Journalism student working through the last few credits in my undergraduate program, and have begun to gain experience in the communications field over the last few years. 

I have proofread and copy written for websites, social media accounts, art institutions, and student media while at school full time. This past experience has allowed me to develop personal practices and systems that allow me to efficiently and accurately carry out editorial tasks. 

I am a native English speaker, and have an academic background with language in both a creative liberal arts sense, as well as writing Journalistically. Beyond academics, I have a personal passion for language, be it finding the best word or making sure syntax is clean and clear. In regards to SEO, I have a solid understanding of social media posting strategies - times and tags - and can comfortably interpret insights provided from Instagram and Facebook. I have recently moved into working on websites, primarily through Elementor site builder for wordpress, and am beginning to gain an understanding of on page SEO.

As a young person wanting to be part of the digital media world, I understand I need to be able to "do it all". That means being able to find content to write about, develop a multimedia package, publish it effectively, and gauge success with viewership metrics. I'm comfortable and competent with generating graphics, editing photos, still photography, video work, and anything in between.

My rate is $22 an hour, and this is based on my education in the field of communications, as well as my relevant work experience in the field. I am excited by the prospect of learning more about SEO, and can commit to full time hours if that is an available option.
