Research Focus I am transdisciplinary researcher that has focused on understanding and analyzing the changing climatic conditions and its impact on communities, systems and sectors, especially the impact of climate change on health and Emerging infectious diseases. . I am also working with communities and sectors at the national, regional and international levels to enhance their resilience to climate change. Using the one health approach, I am working on understanding the link between climate change and biodiversity loss on increase in frequency and intensity of emerging infectious diseases and other forms of biosecurity threats in Africa. One of my research focus in the last few years is understanding vulnerability to climate change and variability. I am currently working on analyzing vulnerability of the health system in Lagos state to climate change and developing a health vulnerability map for the state. I analyzed vulnerability of West African countries to climate change and developed climate change vulnerability map for West Africa. I also assessed the vegetative variation over West Africa Using NDVI. My PhD research was on Vulnerability assessment of Maasai pastoralist under changing climatic condition and their adaptation strategies in Kajiado County. I developed climate change vulnerability map for Kajiado County in Kenya and worked with pastoralist communities to developed adaptation strategies to climate change and climate variability. My research focus extends to policy analysis, policy review and policy development. I led the team that developed the biosecurity policy for West Africa. I am currently developing the climate change and health policy for Lagos state, Nigeria. I have been involved in many international policy dialogues in climate change and biosecurity.
