CBAC Social Media
Client: Canadian Brewing Awards & Conference
Role: Social Media Writer
Scope: Instagram & Facebook
Audience: Canadian craft beer community, brewers, and award-winning
breweries
In 2023, I led a social media content series for the Canadian Brewing
Awards, celebrating the year’s top breweries and beers. The project
featured two content streams:
Award-Winner Spotlights — A series of posts highlighting gold, silver,
and bronze winners across multiple beer categories, with short, vibrant
write-ups crafted to honor each beer's unique flavor and brewery.
Example:
🥇
“ Gold: Black IPA by Pile O’ Bones Brewing Co. — superbly
roasted, with delicious herbal notes and a mild peppery finish.”
Ambassador Shout-Outs — Posts spotlighting beloved beer ambassadors
like @craftbeertastercanada, @pintsofpei, and @amandaandherbeer as
they visited award-winning breweries across Canada, creating reels and
community content that drove visibility for both the breweries and the
awards.
“Cheers to Amanda (@amandaandherbeer) for visiting the best
of the best, from @junctioncraft to @propellerbeer — her
stunning reels and sharp reviews are a staple of the Canadian
beer scene.”
Results:
● Each post averaged 90–150 likes organically
● Content drove high engagement, visibility for breweries, and
conversation among Canadian craft beer fans
● Tone: Warm, celebratory, and tailored to the beer-lover community.
This series showcased the collaborative spirit of the industry and helped
build a bridge between brewers, ambassadors, and fans—nationwide.

A fantastic malt-forward, this IPA has a cream tan white head that pours
vivid amber color. Rich caramel and spicy notes from the malts are
followed by a hint of pine and grapefruit from the hops in a complex
fragrance and flavor.
🥉 Bronze: Cold IPA by Ace Brewing Co. (@acebrewing)
Dry, light-bodied, and loaded with delicious hops that are all cultivated in
the southern hemisphere. Using a straightforward grain bill of flaked rice
and pilsner, this beer had a warm fermentation with lager yeast and was
heavily dry-hopped with Galaxy, Topaz, Motueka, and Riwaka hops.

🥇Gold: Grodziskie by Thornbury Craft Co. (@thornburycraft)
Made for more than 500 years in the Polish town of Grodzisk, this
brew was given the moniker "Polish Champagne" due to its golden hue
and higher carbonation level. With a touch of hops and smoke, it's clear,
sharp, and delectable.
🥈
Silver: Garden City Fieldberry by Whistle Buoy Brewing Co.
(@whistlebuoybrewing)
This brew captures the essence of the area and is made with locally grown
blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries from the
well-known Saanich Peninsula.
🥉
Bronze: Spruce Beer by Garrison Brewing Company
(@garrisonbrewing)
To recreate this iconic East Coast brew, local spruce and fir tips are
gathered from Meander River Farms. A rich, dark richness is produced by
