o Competed against Architectural students from all over UAE
o Designed a tower housing young professionals on any
chosen site next to a Metro station. The challenge is

4th year:
• Challenged to design a Computer and IT College on a site in our
university campus
First time working in a group for a design project
• Worked on a project where we are challenged to design Sharjah Oasis
for Technology and Innovation, “to serve the [University of Sharjah]
and Emirate of Sharjah as hub […] research, technology and innovation
to further advance the Emirate economy into the future.”
• Introduced to urban planning and design:
• After submitting the above project, it was shortlisted as one of the 5
projects to be presented to the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor
of the university as potential implementations.

3 year:
• Did multiple projects introducing us to designing hotels
• Collaborated with 2 people in modeling a 2D wall section into a 3D 1:2
model
• Worked in a group on a report in designing an HVAC system for a given
office building with certain conditions, including AHU, boilers, chillers,
ducts and diffusers, etc. In addition, we designed an efficient wall
section for that building.
• P&T Architectural Student Competition, in which the challenge was to
design an affordable and desirable live/workspace that is well
integrated into UAE’s urban fabric for young professionals.

Challenged to design an apartment building whose best view was on
the south side. Explored, in that project, the design of duplex and
scissor apartments to acquire all the living rooms to face the best view.
2nd year:

• Turning the Volume Subtraction Concept to an Architectural Office

• Desert Motel, where I began to explore different passive design
technics in order to harness sun energy, obtain plenty of daylighting as
well as increase wind circulation.
