Avalon Browne-- SUMMARY My experience is primarily within the luxury fashion industry, in both Australia and the UK. My most recent roles have seen me gain expertise in operations; however, I have had vast amounts of ‘intern’ experience in styling, PR and event management. Additionally, whilst studying at RMIT I acquired an understanding of marketing and strategy. I recently began studying a Bachelor of Laws (online) to expand on my knowledge area and acquire a new skillset. During this role, I was often organising and managing various corporate events. I transitioned from PA to Retail Operations Coordinator and took on the responsibility of the coordination of 25 luxury retail sites. This role had dual responsibility and involved retail operations and coordinating retail promotions. Key projects that I was involved in were: Implementing and managing a number of instore promotional activities, planning and managing a Joseph sample ‘pop up’ store, planning and execution of head office and store events, implementing and managing the internal online communication platform ‘The Bridge’ as well as conducting staff training sessions. 2019 POP PR – LONDON FASHION WEEK Prior to commencing at Joseph, I took an unpaid role at London Fashion Week with PR agency POP. My duties included assisting in the preparation of the fashion week schedule, which included marketing, liaising with guests and the coordination of venues. As well as assisting onsite during shows which included set up, crowd control and guest liaison. 2017 – 2019 ZIMMERMANN I began my career at Zimmermann as a sales assistant where I refined my knowledge of the retail environment. I provided VIP customer service and styling as well as the management of stock at store level. I was then promoted to flagship stock manager. My main duties in this role included: order dispatch, stockroom management, stock inventory, stocktake management, loss prevention, store operation and administration. I then moved to London with the company and my role was as part of a three-person team that managed all UK and EU online stock and fulfilment processes. My duties included store and 3PL replenishments, customer service, order and return fulfilment, fraud investigation and loss prevention. INTERN ROLES – VARIOUS Between 2013 and 2017, I interned at a number of events and shows in my spare time between work and study. My duties at these events spanned across all aspects of PR and event management from marketing to set up/take down and assisting on site.
