I manage the Core Network and Enterprise unit and ensure that core network operation & maintenance routines are performed while enterprise solutions are delivered on the 9Mobile network which translates to revenue.
HIGHLIGHT ON CORE NETWORK OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE ROUTINES DELIVERED
· Running of operation maintenance procedures on the network to ensure optimal network and call success.
· Configuration of PRI and SIP trunk to support enterprise voice solutions.
· Checking the Core KPIs such as Call Success Rate, Paging Success Rate, Answer Success Rate, VLR attach, TC abort, MSc and MGW CPU usage, VLR Count which are performance indicators used in running the Core nodes.
· Additionof newBSC and RNC to the MSC and addition of LAIGCI to the MSC for new site and site re-homing.
· Interfaced withthetransmission engineers and established STM links from theMGW/MSC tothe OSN.
· Performed quarterly updates on the Core network while ensuring all the detected snags are being resolved.
· Implementation of new solutions on the Core network touch point nodes which are MSC, MGW, HSS, STP, SBC.
· Modernization of the CS Core network (NSS) while ensuring services are not distorted.
· Interconnectionof different offices POI on the MSC/ MGW.
·HIGHLIGHT ON CORE NETWORK PROJECTS & SOLUTIONS DELIVERED
· MINI FLEX PROJECT – I planned and delivered the Mini flex project across the different MGW regions on the 9Mobile network. The Mini flex solution provides alternate routes for the BSC and RNCs in case an MGW route is out of service. I allocated the different BSCs and RNCs to the three MGWs each so that a failure on one MGW route doesn’t inhibit users on specific BSCs and RNCs.
· MVNO PROJECT- I planned and delivered the Mobile Virtual Network Operator project. I ensured that the parameters required for the MVNO interconnections were all exchanged with the MVNO partners and implemented according to plan. This led to more revenue flow for the business in terms of MVNO as a service.
· LAWFUL INTERCERPTION GATEWAY PROJECT- I planned and delivered the Lawful Interception Gateway Project while ensuring that there is a proper handshake between 9Mobile and the enforcement agencies via SS7 protocol. After implementation, Call contents were successfully delivered to the Government Monitoring Centers.
· CLOUDIFICATION OF THE CORENETWORK- Designed and planned the cloudification of the Core which provides scalability in the virtual environment and network resource.
HIGHLIGHT ON ENTERPRISE SOLUTION DELIVERABLES.
· ENTERPRISE SOLUTION PRE-DEPLOYMENT- I planned the enterprise solution deployments which included delivery of technical presentation & project scheduling, drafting the enterprise solution run book, ensuring synergy within other internal stakeholders. Plan and roll out enterprise voice solutions such as Primary Rate Access (PRA) Voice Solutions which rides on E1 channels, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) voice which is highly scalable, Cloud-based Voice solution and Cloud Pbx solutions. Interface with stakeholders in the deployment of Internet services, Lease line services, FTTX, Datacenter collocation.
· ENTERPRISE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT – Conceptualized, planned and developed of Enterprise Products and Cloud Solutions across Fixed solutions, cloud-based services, voice solutions and IOT solutions. Developed business cases (BC), Business Requirement Documents and Statement of Work (SOW) for products whilst providing accurate assumptions for CAPEX, OPEX & monitoring of revenue year over year.
· ENTERPRISE SERVICE DELIVERY AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT– I delivered technical service to clients and ensured service satisfaction which included vendor mobilization, site access requests, installation, integration, testing and commissioning. As the Unit manager, I ensured the delivery of enterprise projects within stipulated timelines vis-à-vis agreed SLA of all internal stakeholders. Prepared and executed change requests on existing services such as PRI / SIP number remapping, number block addition or deletion, link re-routing, link upgrade, link downgrade. Ensured proper documentation and reporting of all Enterprise projects and core network projects.
· SECURITY MEASURES I ACTIVATED TO AVERT ENTERPRISE FRAUD AND REVENUE LOSS- Once the enterprise voice solution is set up, I ensure that all DID/DOD numbers configured to be billed by the OCS. Only numbers provided by 9Mobile to the enterprise client can access the enterprise voice service. Services are blocked if provisional payments and subscriptions on enterprise solutions are not received. I activated SIM boxing and call refilling detection logics and algorithms on the enterprise trunks.
