Writing came naturally to me. It just made sense: some sentences need to be long, others should be short, and some words sound more beautiful than others. So in high school, I was recruited to work for the school newspaper, and in college, I was asked to work for the English tutoring program.
But my experience begins and ends there. I worked for two years editing university papers (and writing my own, of course). I can be a little meticulous, so finding tiny grammar errors is strangely exhilarating. And when I edit, I aim for perfection every time.
More than editing, taking creative spins on dry topics excites me. Maybe because I find it challenging; maybe because I would rather drown in ink than use ink to write monotone paragraphs. Whatever the case, I have never written a boring research paper— and I have written far too many research papers.
If you need help editing or putting a creative spin on an ordinary topic, please contact me. I would love to collaborate.
