This project has diverse types of applications like- EOM, GE, E-Com, PKB and G-Trade. Big implementation of COMPASS application is another key area of Tiffany account. COMPASS application is responsible for managing order at the Retail stores/Contact Centre. Works with sales, return & servicing orders. Environment: Microsoft .Net 4.5, ASP.NET MVC 5.0, Web API, Angular JS The Royal Bank Investment Systems (RBIS) application is used to offer Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) external clients investment products that include GICs, Savings, and Mutual Funds under Registered & Non-Registered investment plans that include RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan), RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan), IA (Investment Account), RRIF (Registered Retirement Income Fund), DPSP (Deferred Profit Sharing Plan).The investment plan/account includes client name and third party accounts. The end users of the application are in the retail branches across Canada, Royal Direct Contact Centers, mobile banking, and MFRP Back-Office in Montreal. The application interacts with multiple interfaces to effect investment buy & sell transactions against the client DDA accounts as well as to post GL entries for daily account control & balancing. The objective of the project was to migrate the current RBIS thick desktop client application to a thin web client, consuming REST services. The primary business driver behind the migration project is to reduce the time required for deploying the desktop client in all retail branches. The secondary reason for the migration was to improve the maintainability and reduce the time to market changes by replacing the discrete pieces of the application written in obsolete technologies like VB, COM, Visual C++, and instead introduce a service-oriented architecture built on C#. This limitation was a cause of primary concern when there are government regulatory requirements which has time bound implementation guidelines. I was engaged as an Application Developer responsible for service part. He has worked on the service layer to interact with all the external service like SECAF, CCP, NSS etc. He was also developed the eForm generation process.
