I'm Dr.Asmaa Elwakil, have biochemistry and molecular biology PhD, have great experience in teaching and researching.I worked as biochemistry consultant, assistant professor, laboratory specialist.

I'm very hard worker, very motivated, have great passion to learn, read,research and teach .

Research Interests:

1. Investigation of Biochemical Alterations and Oxidative Mechanisms in Focal Cerebral Ischemia

• Examining the biochemical changes and oxidative mechanisms associated with focal cerebral ischemia induced by the left

common carotid artery occlusion model of brain stroke in adult male rats.

2. Molecular and Biochemical Effects of Novel Nanocomposites in Liver Carcinogenesis

• Evaluating the molecular and biochemical effects of novel nanocomposites (garlic/CTAB/Zinc oxide) in vitro and in vivo in the

context of liver carcinogenesis induced by N-Nitrosodiethylamine (DEN).

3. Preparation and Measurement of Nanoparticles

• Conducting research on the preparation and measurement of nanoparticles to explore their properties and applications.

4. Evaluation of Cytotoxicity of Nanoparticles on Human Cancer Cell Line (IC50)

• Investigating the cytotoxic effects of nanoparticles on a human cancer cell line, determining the half-maximal inhibitory

concentration (IC50).

5. Determination of LD50

• Assessing the lethal dose (LD50) of mol substances, contributing to toxicological studies.

6. Molecular Analysis

• Conducting molecular analyses, including studies on cell cycle dynamics, caspase 3 activation, DNA fragmentation percentage,

and the expression of key genes such as B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL2) and Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF-B).

7. Histopathology Examination

• Performing histopathological examinations to gain insights into the structural and cellular changes associated with various

experimental conditions.
