As of late, my most recent work experience was serving as a District Representative for a member of Congress. I was charged with being the liaison between the community and the Congress-member and leading community outreach and engagement projects, conduct constituent casework with Federal agencies, manage Federal grant outreach, and prepare the Congress-member’s speaking points.
While earning my Master’s from San Diego State University, I concentrated my coursework in qualitative and quantitative research methods, financial management, and public policy development. I spent a year interning for the City of Del Mar’s Administrative Services Department and City Manager’s Office where I drafted staff reports, conducted presentations to City Council members, chaired in organizing the city’s Emergency Operations Center drill and aided the Administrative Services Department in various research projects and employee hiring processes.
I have had the opportunity to serve as a Research Assistant aimed at improving the lives of those suffering from homelessness, aided as a Press Intern for New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and helped steer a grassroots movement aimed at increasing voter participation. Additionally, I was a Marketing Associate/Administrative Assistant to the CEO for a landscape development company where I was charged with managing the company website, press releases, social media content, and email campaigns.
