I have acquired unique and proven insights on the design, development and deployment of applications that are: useful (provide the user with a needed capability); usable (the capability is easy and convenient to use); and used (applications that are useful and usable will actually be used effectively). I have also acquired an extensive toolkit that is useful for fixing existing applications and, more importantly, rescuing development projects that have somehow gone awry.

My principal area of expertise is the design and development of databases including the user interfaces required to insure the application meets the "useful, usable, and used" criteria. 

I'm also committed to making the most effective use of the tools available, regardless of how they are selected (e.g. legacy system, client IT capabilities, requirements based etc.) and guarantee that the tools will never constrain the solution.
