My primary task as a web developer will be to create reliable and high-performing web applications and services, which can be accessed over the internet.

My Responsibilities:

1. Write code in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as PHP or Shopify

2. Plan and prototype new web applications

3. Design the architecture of the components of a website

4. Decide on the best technologies and languages for the project

5. Test sites and applications in different browsers and environments

6. Problem-solve

7. Fix bugs in existing projects

8. Test new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the correct task in all cases

9. Run performance tests

10. Review colleagues' code

11. Build and test Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for applications to exchange data

12. Research, incorporate and contribute to Open Source projects

13. Gather requirements from clients and users

14. Learn and test new technologies, frameworks and languages

15. Stay up to date with new trends and advancements in web development

16. Build and maintain databases

17. Carry out code refactoring and optimization of existing code

18. Document code, so other developers can understand and contribute to it

19. Attend and speak at web development conferences and workshops

20. Design information architecture within an application or website

My Skills:

1. Technical knowledge in areas such as client-side components, server-side languages, web application frameworks and database management systems

2. Experience with version control systems, and a thorough understanding of the architecture of web applications and web security

3. Attention to detail

4. A logical approach to problem solving

5. The ability to work independently and in mixed teams

6. Experience of development methodologies (such as PHP and Shopify)

7. The ability to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines

I have more than 7 years of experience in development in the industry.

I have also worked with different developers to create and update WordPress & Shopify websites. Optimized sites for usability, search engine optimization and accessibility. Partnered with marketing department to continually perfect client pitches. Offered job at conclusion of internship (declined to pursue web developer opportunity at Elevated).
