About

I am a seasoned People Operations professional with a passion for creating inclusive, efficient, and empowering workplaces. With a strong foundation in corporate communication, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to optimizing employee experiences and fostering growth within organizations.

My journey began at the Mayor’s Office of Special Projects and Community Events (MOSPCE), where I honed my skills as a Special Assistant. During my tenure, I cultivated long-term partnerships with over 35 companies and spearheaded streamlined processes for a volunteer program, overseeing recruitment, training, and retention efforts of 75+ volunteers spanning approximately 50 large-scale events annually.

My career advanced at Codesmith, New York, where I served as a People Operations Specialist and later as a Senior People Operations Specialist. At Codesmith, I identified communication gaps and organized training sessions for team members, fostering a culture of continuous efficiency through one-on-one meetings and comprehensive team-wide presentations. I managed and regularly improved company-wide resources, including the employee handbook, quarterly human resources newsletters, Slack announcements, and team-wide meeting updates, to advance the employee experience. Additionally, I facilitated the hiring process by collaborating with hiring managers, posting job descriptions, scheduling job interviews, and maintaining communication with a diverse range of candidates across multiple roles. My commitment to onboarding and mentoring was evident as I conducted onboarding for 25+ new hires per month, implementing values-aligned improvements on a consistent basis to optimize team members' transition into the company and overall task performance in their respective roles.

My civic involvement includes co-founding Faith. NYC, where I lead 10 core volunteers, orchestrating the strategic planning and execution of monthly spiritual discussions aimed at fostering personal growth and community engagement. My involvement with the AlMaghrib Institute as a Consultant to Senior Leadership and Co-President showcases my ability to identify areas of improvement, address gaps within leadership and communication structures, and achieve overall organizational goals.

I hold a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication from CUNY Baruch College, Weissman School of Arts and Sciences. My skills encompass People Operations, HRIS System (Gusto), JazzHR Recruiting Software, Asana, Communication, and Change Management.

My professional journey is defined by my commitment to creating inclusive and efficient workplaces. With a passion for optimizing employee experiences, I bring a wealth of experience and a dedication to fostering growth within organizations. My expertise and leadership make me an invaluable asset to any team.
