Arnel Amar Veniegas

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics. I am a computer literate especially in Microsoft Office and possess good communication skills both for English and Filipino. I worked as a public high school teacher for twelve years. During my teaching career I taught already almost of the eight subjects for high school such as Mathematics, English, Science, TLE – ICT, Values Education, PE. Aside from handling a subject loads, I was a coach and trainer of the different contest such as sports, speech choir, math contests, and others. I chaired different committees and programs often times such as Brigada Eskwela, Crafting of School Improvement Plan (SIP), graduation program and others. I was also designated as OIC of the school in lieu of the school head whenever they are out or o a business travel. I was elected as the President of the Teacher’s Organization for three consecutive years. I had been an officer of the Parents-Teachers Association for twelve years and once been elected as Secretary of the said association. I became the President of the Samahan ng mga Guro sa Araling Panlipunan (SAGAP) of the Municipality of Tulunan for a year. I lead the Supreme Sudent Government as an adviser for a year also. I won as champion in the Emceeing Contest for Teachers of the Division of Cotabato and represented the said division in the regional wide competition.

Prior to my teaching career, I worked as an Account and Warehouse Manager of Carumba Grocery (Area Dealer of Coca-Cola Company) for nine months. I am the in-charge of warehouse operation which includes maintenance, inventory, purchase and sales of Coca-Cola products. Aside from those functions, I supervised workers and maintain upscale environment for all customers and workers. I maintain linkages and connections with present and prospect clients in order to reach our target quota and sales. I worked also as a part-time Radio DJ of 94.1 GNN FM Tulunan for nine months. Aside from those jobs that I’ve been working with, I am also a freelance landscaper, event host, decorator, event planner and organizer for twelve years. I was the event organizer of the barangay fiesta of Minapan for twelve years. I organized the Summer Sports Festival of Barangay Minapan for two years in which the program is for the youth with a vision of keeping them away from illegal drugs through sport program.

The experiences I had with my jobs from past to present made me a well-rounded individual as what my previous colleagues always say “I am a multi-talented person”. I am a person who believes that learning is a continuous process and with this philosophy I always see to it that I take the challenge of learning new things and new skills. I am eager, committed, dedicated and enthusiastic with everything that I am doing and I believe that these attitudes is an important factor in achieving success in whatever we do. I may not know everything and I may not be an experienced one in other jobs but I believe that with passion everything can be learned through training, self-discoveries and by constant practice and with that we can be an expert in anything or everything that we are doing.
