I recently worked with a small business, Alpine Staffing, getting hands on experience in buildings relationships with clients and multi-tasking in administrating office duties. I started in the summer of 2018 as an office coordinator, in which I learned how to use COATS software and provided customer service to clients responding to inquiries through phone calls and emails. I efficiently identified clients’ needs and set up employees with clients, fulfilling job order requests. The owner later trusted me to do creative projects on product development, identifying potential clients and setting up meetings. I also created financial reports on sales, reconciled financial bank statements, and confirmed employee numbers. These reports required attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines, where I regularly had to check in with the Office Manager.

At New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), I have taken several courses that have introduced me to doing my own research , such as Logical of Social Inquiry, Statistics, Survey Research, Wealth and Inequality, and Sociology of Entrepreneurship. I have gone beyond the classroom theory and applied this knowledge to personal projects in online entrepreneurship and a Marketing Internship for StudySoup completed in the 2017 summer. Most recently, I have completed my final thesis paper in which I investigated Environmental Organizations in the United Arab Emirates by conducting interviews. Outside of the office and classroom, my leadership, volunteering, and athletics commitments have helped me develop a sense of accountability for my actions and great tenacity towards my goals. In the past 3 years I have been involved in the NYUAD community and participated in multiple student interest groups from Altruism, a group focused on volunteering to The Gazelle, a college magazine in which I wrote weekly news articles. Most recently, I worked for a non-profit organization, UAE Dolphin Project, and collected data on local dolphin population along the UAE coastline to bring awareness and push policies forward for the conservation of marine species. These experiences have made me exceptional in verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
