From Customer Service to Data Analytics: A Decade of Growth

My career journey, spanning over a decade, showcases a unique blend of customer-centric roles and a deep dive into the world of data analytics. This diverse experience has equipped me with not only strong analytical capabilities but also a profound understanding of business operations and customer needs.

I began my professional life in a BPO environment, where I spent valuable time resolving customer queries via calls and emails. This foundational experience was instrumental in developing my communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and patience. It taught me the importance of clear and concise interaction, active listening, and quickly identifying the root cause of issues to provide effective solutions. These skills, while seemingly distinct from data analytics, are incredibly valuable in understanding the user perspective when designing dashboards or interpreting data.

My time at Jet Airways, working as a customer service assistant at an international airport, further honed my ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage diverse customer expectations. This role demanded attention to detail, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to anticipating customer needs. Navigating complex travel scenarios and ensuring smooth customer experiences provided me with an invaluable real-world understanding of operational efficiency and the impact of effective service delivery.

The pivotal shift in my career began at Mettler Toledo, where I dedicated over five years to establishing myself as a Data Analyst. This role allowed me to transition my problem-solving acumen into a data-driven context. My primary responsibility involved creating insightful dashboards using Power BI, transforming raw data into actionable visual representations that empowered stakeholders to make informed decisions. This included everything from sales performance tracking to operational efficiency metrics. I became proficient in writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Beyond reporting, I leveraged Python for automation tasks, streamlining repetitive processes and improving overall efficiency within the data workflows. Furthermore, my experience with KNIME for process automation allowed me to design and implement automated solutions for various business processes, reducing manual effort and improving data flow. This comprehensive experience at Mettler Toledo solidified my expertise in the end-to-end data analytics lifecycle, from data extraction and transformation to visualization and automation.

With over six years specifically in data analytics, I bring a wealth of practical experience in using data to drive business improvements. My background has provided me with a holistic perspective, enabling me to bridge the gap between technical data analysis and practical business applications.
