Projects
Natural Language Processing for Sentiment Analysis – In this project, we developed a model to classify text data into different sentiment categories i.e. positive, negative, neutral, or mixed. The project took five months from conception to deployment and this would enable improved customer support by recognizing and addressing user emotions in textual communication. For this project, after performing data preprocessing (removal of punctuations, stop words removal, tokenization, and lemmatization) we performed modeling using Convolution Neural Networks (CNN), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Support Vector Machines (SVM), and Transformer Models. High accuracy levels were achieved using the SVM modeling, which we proceeded to deploy using Streamlit. Natural Language Processing - Sentiment Analysis
Prediction modeling using Time Series Analysis – In this project, I was able to identify the top five regions that would offer the best investment potential from a large dataset, containing housing values. The project took two months to complete and would provide actionable insights for an investment firm, enabling them to decide where to allocate their resources. This included data preprocessing and thereafter modeling and forecasting using ARIMA, SARIMA, and Prophet models to determine the best forecasting tool based on accuracy, after performing hyperparameter tuning. Classification model for prediction of vaccine acceptance – In this project, I was able to model a supervised binary classification algorithm to predict whether a respondent would receive the H1N1 flu vaccine, based on data collected in the National 2009 H1N1 flu vaccine survey. I performed data preprocessing and modelling using different classification models such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest and Decision Trees, while performing hyperparameter tuning for the best Accuracy, F1, and Precision scores, to identify the model with the highest accuracy based on the labels provided.
