About

I'm a Senior Software Engineer with a little over 12 years of hands-on experience building software that actually solves real business problems. Most of my work has been focused on backend engineering, microservices, distributed systems and cloud platforms, but I've also spent a good chunk of my career doing full-stack work when it's needed.

I've worked across several industries-healthcare, ERP, finance and e-commerce-so I've gotten comfortable designing systems that have to be fast, reliable and safe enough to handle important data. On the backend, I spend most of my time in C# and .NET Core, building APIs and breaking large systems into clear, maintainable microservices. I enjoy applying patterns like DDD, CQRS and event-driven architecture because they help keep things clean as systems grow. I'm strong in SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MongoDB and I've designed schemas, indexes, stored procedures and handled performance tuning for high-volume applications.

Cloud-wise, I've worked extensively with both Azure and AWS. I've built solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, as well as AWS Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS and API Gateway. I'm comfortable deploying and managing containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes and I've used Terraform and CloudFormation to define and manage infrastructure in a repeatable way.

I also enjoy the DevOps side of engineering—building CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, improving observability and making sure the team has the right tools to move fast without breaking things. I've used Azure DevOps, Jenkins and GitHub Actions to automate testing, code quality checks and blue-green or rolling deployments.

On the front end, I've built applications with Angular and React, especially in situations where the backend and frontend teams needed to work closely. I'm comfortable with TypeScript, state management and building reusable components.

One thing I'm proud of throughout my career is being a strong collaborator. I've hosted architecture discussions, mentored junior developers, led code reviews and worked with product owners to turn complicated requirements into something clear and buildable. I try to write code that's easy for the next person to understand and I enjoy helping teams improve their development habits and system design.

At the end of the day, I love building systems that are clean, scalable and easy to maintain and I enjoy being part of teams that care about delivering high-quality software the right way.
