I am a gladiator in a pencil skirt aka a PR consultant, copy writer and influencer
marketing specialist. Up to date I have worked on major brands such as Netcare,
GEMS, Reckitt Benckiser, PPC Cement, LG Mobile, P&G, Chivas Regal, Standard Bank,
Twisp and a number of smaller ones. The diverse nature of the clients that I work
with ensures that I have a varied set of communications skills.

My articles on marketing and communications have been published in the likes of
The Media Online, Modern Marketing, Biz Community, Media Update, Evolve (a UK

My work is not only industry specific and I also write articles on lifestyle, tech,
culture and travel. Articles written by me have been featured in publications like
Joburg Style, HuffPost (contributor) and Future Now to name a few.
In 2019 I was invited to speak at the Social Media Conference as well as the Modern
Marketing Trend Camp as an expert on influencer marketing to talk about the
importance of influencers as a marketing channel for brands. I have been a guest on
Cape Talk radio, PowerFM, Maggs on Media and The Fix on eNCA to discuss the
above topics and been quoted in various articles by reputable journalists.
I took some time off for personal development in 2017 and thus there is a bit of a
gap in my CV.

I got the great opportunity to work directly with CEO of Conversations Group,
Vincent Magwenya as the Head of Consumer PR. The company was a start-up and I
couldn’t deny myself the experience. Unfortunately, the start-up encountered some

Social Media and Content Marketing Director
At the beginning of September, I was promoted and moved into the digital and social
team within Magna Carta. The fairly new department aimed at moving the agency
into a more digitally focussed one and offer our clients a bigger scope of service with
digital PR in addition to traditional PR. My day to day duties included but weren’t
limited to:

Researching and sourcing interesting content for client’s platforms that were
suitable and engaging for their respective audiences.
• Writing and editing content for different platforms.
• Finding new, exciting and engaging ways to re-package traditional PR content
for digital and social media platforms.
• Working closely with writers, graphic designers and blog writers to produce
content.
• Ensuring that all agencies (traditional PR, digital, social media, etc) were
aligned with regards to pushing out a united messaging. Included:
o Inter-agency meetings to discuss ‘hero’ messaging and content for

o Ensure clear communication took place across agencies in order to
avoid misunderstandings.
