Anna Tomaszewska

I’m a young, curious and creative woman, who specializes in Chinese, English, and Russian and I’m looking for ways to develop myself and fulfill my ambitions. This year, I completed my Bachelor’s degree program in sinology and became highly proficient in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese. During the second year of my studies, I had a chance to live, learn and practice my language skills in Beijing for half a year.

Mastering foreign languages is a field I have always been keen on. My mother's language is Polish. My English is proficient both in speaking and writing (I got the International Baccalaureate Diploma in English). I also speak fluently Russian, as my mother comes from Belarus, so I came into contact with this language very early. The level of my German is communicative, although I still learn it, having undertaken a seasonal job in Switzerland.

What I am looking for is any kind of job-related with languages mentioned above (translations, working in public relations, consulting, media), but also…with art. For me, art consists of thousands of ways that enable you to express real emotions and feelings, but also, to shape the world you want to see with your own eyes. When I think of any kind of art, whether it’s music, movement or fashion, I see a great power capable of creating something you cannot really explain using words, but you could feel it with your soul.

I’m ready to take on new challenges to suit the needs of your company. What would really satisfy me is the opportunity to work remotely, but it is not the one and only option that I consider to be good for now. I’m a confident, responsible and reliable person, who is ready to quickly learn new skills and, who is not afraid of new challenges. I have a little bit of experience in translation from Chinese to English and, from Russian to English in ASK-i Data, the German company offering translation and coding of surveyed data.

However, I’m used to wearing many hats and doing many different things. I love performing in front of large audiences, and I believe this would be one of my biggest advantages. Different kinds of performances are not strange to me since I have been taking part in hundreds of singing and dancing contests and concerts. Additionally, I have been chosen many times to be the host of various kinds of events, like the one called “Silk Road Expression 2018” - the event organized in Poland in collaboration with Gannan Normal University from China.

I always keep a positive attitude and try to do my best whatever I do. And I love talking to people!
